This morning I was watching the news and thought I saw an amber alert for a child that was a foster child in my home last year. ~Sigh~
We finally made it to the splash pad at a local county park. Fun! Of course I did not have my camera. We went pretty early in the morning and there were 2 large daycare type groups with younger children (about 30 3 - 5 yrs old). One of the teachers stood at the edge and started looking around the play area with a very worried look on her face. Another teacher came up to her and they tried to figure out the last time they had seen "him". Rut-Roh! I was having an internal dialog hoping they would contact security to shut the park down. Every minute that they spent looking around, counting and re-counting kids made me wish they would say something out loud because if the little guy was missing, the more time that passed the farther away he could get. After about 12 minutes they found him. Whew! The look of relief on their faces... and of course he did not know he was lost.

Scary stuff. Did they find your former foster child? I just caught a glance of the billboard on the way home last night - just enough to know their was an Amber Alert, but not enough to see even if it was a boy or girl. I hope the child is found....
Do you ever take the kids to the East Lansing Aquatic Center? I just went there for the first time last week. Frankly, the price of admission is beyond what I think reasonable but I was dropping someone off and SAW it. It is amazing. I think I'll try and take the kids one time this summer as a "splurge".
Annie, We had gift certs for there 2 summers back and we found that it was always so crowded that you could not even enjoy yourself. My kids actually prefer the Y in the mornings or late evenings when no one is there. They loved the splash pad and I like going on Mondays 'cause its free to get in.
I ma glad your prayers and theirs where answered...and that you add the little giggle that "he" didn't know he was lost....lol
Good to know all is well with your charges.
Pray that your fostered child is found, safe, healthy and back were they belong.
